17 May 2006 - Michael Morpurgo visits Wickhambreaux
Wickhambreaux CEP School were thrilled to welcome Michael Morpurgo to the school to officially open the new buildings.
Michael taught at Wickhambreaux 32 years ago and so he was delighted to be invited to the school for the opening ceremony.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed his visit and made both Mr and Mrs Morpurgo very welcome, providing fantastic musical performances for them, the other visitors and parents alike.
Unfortunately the building was not large enough to house the visitors and dignitaries, but the children will be repeating their superb performances for the parents at Sharing Assembly on Thursday 25th May at 10.40 am.
