19 Oct 2006 - Anti-Bullying Workshop
The BT Volunteers again visited the school to carry out a workshop with the years 4, 5 and 6. The theme of their workshop on this visit was anti-bullying (to coincide with the imminent National no-Bullying Week in November).
The Volunteers performed a play, which investigated subversive forms of bullying and peer and friendship pressure to conform. This highlighted the fact that bullying can occur through manipulative behaviour in friendships.
This was again a hard hitting PHSE matter, which was dealt with sensitivity and understanding by the BT Volunteers.
