9 Nov 2007 - Wickhambreaux Children Remember
Wickhambreaux children took time to remember all those who have given their lives in war, giving thought not only to the World Wars, but also to recent conflicts.
Year 6 children laid their own wreaths at the memorial and after a two minute silence, the older children sang a song of peace. It was a very cold day, but even the very youngest children seemed to appreciate the sombre aspect of the contemplation.
Thank you to Mr Costello who again attended in order to play the Last Post.
Many of the Wickhambreaux School children, as members of Brownies, Guides, Cubs or Scouts also attended the Remembrance Day Service held at Ickham Church on Sunday 11th November, taking part in the formal procession.
